Description
Step back into the wild and hopeful days of the California Gold Rush with this unique MugNuggets coffee mug inspired by the historic town of Coloma, California, where gold was first discovered in 1848.
One side of the mug captures the optimism of every prospector who came west chasing fortune — a miner proudly holding up a gold nugget with the words:
“Today is going to be a GREAT day.”
Turn the mug and the story continues with the humor of frontier life. After a long day of digging and dreaming, the same miner finds himself at the saloon bar with an empty bottle and a simple conclusion:
“Not so much.”
Completing the design is the 1849 Gold Country emblem, honoring the region that launched one of the greatest adventures in American history.
Whether you’re a history lover, a Gold Country local, or just someone who appreciates a good laugh with their morning coffee, this mug captures the spirit of the Gold Rush perfectly.
Perfect for:
• Gold Rush history fans
• Placerville and Coloma locals
• Tourists visiting California Gold Country
• Coffee lovers who appreciate a good story
Start your morning like a hopeful prospector.
Hopefully with better results than the miner.
